Welcome Brady Quinn!!!

On Sunday we brought home the newest member of our family, little Brady Quinn. Brady (or Quinn, if you like) is 3 months old and has little tiger-like stripes on his arm and tail along with numerous other cute features. He's already taking to his surroundings as he spent his first night in his new home in the bed with Carrie and I. We hope that, in time, Brady Quinn will help Lucinda deal with the loss of Simon and make her life more pleasurable.
A very special thanks to everyone who sent well wishes & condolences at Simon Alexander Truitt's passing. He is missed everyday.

Couch Trip

Sometimes the Holmes family comes over. Jackson and Warren go to daycare together, and they sometimes sit on the couch together.

at the Ramp

We've been having some fun in the backyard lately, some skating, a few beers, a few laughs, and what-have-you. The only pictures are of Wes because I'm the only one taking them; I really need to recruit my own photographer for some coverage (it is MY blog).

at the Movies

We went to the SkyViewTwin a couple of weeks ago for the new Batman movie; it was alright, pretty dark because we were at the drive in, but okay none the less.

Jack wasn't particularly interested in the flick, but we all had a good time just hanging out before the movie started.

Jason Bright and Jack Truitt

I forgot all about posting these pictures of one Jason Bright and the Jackson Truitt.

Jason had never held a baby until this day at Erica's son Khaleed's Welcoming party. He looks like a natural.

Goodbye Simon

On Sunday night around 6:15, our little gray cat, Simon, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Our hearts are broken and we feel very helpless as we don't know why you were taken from us, but we know that this is a part of life; just not one we expected or were emotionally ready to deal with quite so soon. So, after nearly seven wonderful years we bid Simon farewell. We love you and think of you often and our house won't ever be the same now that you're gone.
We'll miss you waking us up in the morning by ramming yourself into our bedroom door because you wish to be fed. We'll miss you following us into the bathroom just because you wanted to be around us and saw the perfect opportunity for some lap time. We'll miss your attempts at cuddling up next to Jackie because you knew how precious he is to us and wanted to know him, too. Mostly, though, we'll miss your playful, loving spirit that has kept us so warm and happy for all this time.
Goodbye, Simon.
