Our travels were without incident, which is nice. Thanks to all for hosting us at their respective homes; everything was absolutely wonderful.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday Carrie and I noticed rapid advancement in Jack's ability to pull up to standing on anything that stays still long enough. It won't be long now until he's on foot full time! Oh, well; we've enjoyed him being a baby as long as we could. The inevitable progression that all parents hope for is proving to be harder on us than we anticipated.
We are looking forward to celebrating Jack's first Xmas, although he probably won't really think much of it. Our schedule will take us to Nettie and Joe's on Saturday, December 20th and then to Carole and Steve's the next afternoon for another Xmas event. The traveling will conclude with a trip to Carrie's Granny's home on Xmas Eve and then back to our house so that Jack can wake up on Xmas morning in his own bed and (eventually) creep down the hall towards the tree to see what Santa has left him. For now he'll probably just want to stick to the routine feeding and napping schedule with a little bit of playtime mixed in. We'll see.
Carrie and I are very much looking forward to spending this time with our families. And to spending our vacation at home with Jackson. On that note, anyone who would like to is invited to visit between Xmas and New Year's. Just give us a call and we'll figure out when the best time/day is. We always have a guest room available for those wishing to stay overnight, as well.
Congratulations to Christina and Chris on the birth of Emma Nicole Keeling (please correct my spelling if need be). She arrived on Thanksgiving day and is absolutely adorable. We are looking forward to seeing her again soon and to her and Jack getting to know each other through the years to come.
